Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager

Position Description
ASEC is looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to lead and manage our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) division. This role oversees CMT operations, staff, and quality assurance across our project portfolio, and includes supervising and training our engineering technicians in CMT field and lab work, all while working closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies including GDOT.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the CMT department, including staffing, scheduling, and quality assurance. Supervise and train engineering technicians in CMT field and laboratory testing methods and procedures. Review and approve CMT reports, test results, and documentation for accuracy and compliance. Serve as a technical resource for field and lab staff on complex testing and inspection issues. Maintain and support GDOT prequalification and other regulatory compliance requirements. Build and maintain client relationships with contractors, engineers, and government agencies. Support business development and proposal efforts for CMT services.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Georgia required. Significant experience in construction materials testing and inspection, including GDOT project experience preferred. Proven ability to supervise, train, and mentor field and lab technicians. Strong leadership and staff management skills. Excellent communication and client-relationship skills.
